Roots of the Future: The businesses regenerating Africa’s soils

Regenerative agriculture will play a fundamental role in fixing food systems, locking carbon in the soil, and creating vibrant ecosystems across Africa. This was the first of our thematic deep dive and the purpose of it was to urgently explore alternatives based on circular and regenerative principles as conventional agricultural practices are failing both people and the planet. The release of this report was an attempt to ensure that we understand the complexity in regenerative approaches, learn from stakeholders and make sure the voices of those most affected by current challenges are heard.
